Hello Guys,

I am writing this article, especially for the freshers and final-year students. My first message to you all is don’t feel stressed. I can feel you, how hard your heart is feeling right now. But I can tell that, one day you will move from 0 to 1 with consistency and motivation(self).

Coming to me currently, I am a 4th year Computer Science student. Recently, I got placed at Bourntec for the role of Associate Software Engineer (Application development).

Round 1:

The usual first question is “Tell about yourself”.

Then, they went deeper into my project. It’s based on Java and MySQL. They asked me how to connect Java and MySQL and what are the things required.

Then, I was given two coding questions.

  1. Character frequency of a string using a hashmap.
  2. Maximum element of the given array.

Later, they asked me a few theoretical questions about:

Streams, what is primitive and void, use of the final, example of inheritance in real life, use of enum and a few more questions it lasted for 38 minutes.

Round 2:

Within a week, I got an email about the second round

Finding the next number of the given series. Then, they started asking SQL. What it is? Why it is used?

What are indexes, what are primary and foreign keys, and can we use the index on the foreign key column?

Then asked about my college, and where I am from. And the end do you have any questions? I asked, how was his experience from a fresher to an interviewer. It went well.

After a week our TPO sir shared the shortlisted students list. Luckily my name was on it.

Up till that, I was stressed and was very low thinking about placements and how my future was going to be. The thing is no need to be worried. you just do your work and take care of your health. With hard work, consistency and motivation you will also definitely move from 0 to 1.

If any mistakes please kindly forgive me.

Wishing you all the very best and luck.
