BorgWarner visited our college for a software/systems engineer role. Only electronics and electrical branches were allowed to sit for the placement. The entire process was completely online. Students were shortlisted based on their CGPA for the first round. There were 3 rounds in total explained in detail as follows.
First round: (Online Test)
- Aptitude questions
- ECE core + few EEE questions
- 2 coding questions to be coding in C language (simple)
Second round: (Technical interview)
- Core ECE questions asked (Microcontrollers, Linear Integrated Circuits etc)
- In-depth discussion regarding projects carried out during college
- Logical and aptitude questions
- A simple code asked to be coded in C language
Third round: (Managerial Interview)
- Discussions about the projects/courses/achievements from my resume
- Basic C coding knowledge asked
- Discussion on core ECE topics (like analog filters and microcontrollers)
- Focused on IoT projects
- Managerial questions on how to manage people working within a team
- Asked me if I have any plans for further studies
- Asked me where I could see myself in 5 years
- Discussion about capstone project
The list was released a week after the interviews were conducted. 12 people were selected from the 340 people shortlisted.
