My college name is Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur. It is an Autonomous College Affiliated with RTMNU University situated in Nagpur. I got admitted to B.Tech Programme in the Information Technology Branch through MHT-CET exams. Today I’m going to share my campus experience and I’m gonna talk about the events, the type of clubs here, the faculties, and the Placement. So, let’s get started with my first-year journey.

The first semesters of my college life were not as fulfilling as one would imagine. Classes were online, with no physical interaction, and no activities whatsoever, college didn’t feel like college. It felt more like an extended summer break with lots of assignments. The classes were regular but the learning curve kept dropping. I didn’t enjoy my college life in my first semester. The Mid-term exams were held online and every student got full marks in each exam. After the first semester exams, the second semester started within a week. The second semester was our offline exams. When Covid-19 was nearly gone then our colleges opened.

In the second year, everything was normal like before and I got a chance to fulfill all my college dreams. In my college, there are a few Clubs I’m going to talk and these clubs are nearly in every college. The college director and teachers support students to participate in the events that were ongoing or in the clubs. Some clubs that are in my college are Green Club, Emerge Poetry Club, Sports Club, YCCE Media Club & Music Club, and many more! I joined some clubs and attended some events at other colleges. After some time the college started organizing events and these events are for all college students. I attended as many events and hackathons as possible in my second year.

Currently, I’m in my third year. I’m going to tell you about the faculty, the course curriculum, and the placements. The faculties are good, well-qualified and supportive too. They support you to participate in other activities and give you time for this. When it comes to the course curriculum, the courses are according to the industry requirements and good, you need approximately 40% in each subject to pass the semesters. I connected with my seniors to enquire about the placement scenario at my college. To my relief, the response was mostly positive. The highest package grabbed by one of our students last year was around 20 LPA. Many other companies like Wipro, TCS, Hitachi, Hotel Key, L&T, and many more also come for placement drives. It is a decent college and the placement graph is also improving every year!
