I am pursuing my engineering degree from JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College Of Engineering in Tathawade, Pune. Currently, I am in the 3rd year. My overall college experience is filled with a lot of learning and ups and downs. I learned a lot of things here. Up to the 12th standard, I didn’t have any plan for engineering, but due to some reasons, I had to take admission in engineering, and I got this college in the CAP round.

Campus:

The campus of the college is not too big, but the environment is really good here. The campus provides vibes for study. At the start of the college, there is a library and a reading hall. Once you enter the college, you can see a lot of posters of students’ achievements. There are well-structured labs with all the equipment. There is a parking area for vehicles. No one is allowed without a helmet on a bicycle into the campus. Hostel facilities are also very good. The hostel is at a walking distance from the college. The food facility is also good; there is a canteen, food court, and, for girls, there is a separate mess facility.

First-Year Experience:

In the first year, I faced coding subjects for the first time; before that, I was not aware of that. I started my journey with the C language. All the teachers were very supportive. Then I met my seniors; they were very supportive and provided all kinds of guidance to me. The pointer concept was new for 1st-year students, so I was also panicking about exams. The college arranged a cultural festival when I was in the first year. Traditional day was also arranged. In this way, my first year got completed.

Second-Year Experience:

In the second year, I joined the computer department. In the first year, all departments have the same syllabus. Now it’s time to do hard work. At the starting of the second year, our seniors came and introduced us to the department, labs, and placement cell. In the second year, I joined an eco-sustainability club at the college level. Through this, I got the opportunity to visit rural areas and schools and perform activities like solar lamp donation and tree plantation. In the second year, the college arranged a sports week with various kinds of games. At the end of sports week, there is a gathering in the college. The college arranged a prize distribution ceremony before that. There are various clubs in college that help us improve skills like coding, communication, etc.

Third-year Experience:

Currently, I am in the third year, and the preparation for placement has started. There are various training sessions provided by the college. Seniors who got placed in reputed companies or achieved something give sessions to us. At the starting of the fourth year, placements start.

My experience up to this point has been really good. I got a lot of good friends, teachers, motivating seniors, and most importantly, an environment for study.
