TIAA Internship Experience – Pool campus for Internship

I applied to TIAA through college internship process.

Round 1: Online Test

The test was conducted on CoCubes platform. The test consisted of aptitude and coding sections. Aptitude consisted of English, Maths and Quant. There were technical questions on java, c++ and DBMS. Total time allotted for this section was 45 minutes.

Coding questions were of easy level. There were two question one of the question was string encryption like replace {a:z, b:y, c:x, d:w, ……., y:b, z:a}

Input String : abcd

Output String : zyxw.

and the other question was also very easy. Time allotted was 30 minutes.

People who solved both the coding questions and average marks in aptitude section were shortlisted for further rounds.

Round 2: Group Activity

This was something different from the usual group discussion round. They gave us 30 minutes and asked us to create an app like OLA/UBER, they also provided us  chart papers and pens to show how the app would look like. We had to divide ourselves in different groups like the ones from sdlc and work out accordingly. Make sure you speak as much as possible and should have knowledge about sdlc phases to get selected.

Round 3: Technical round

Tell me about yourself. Then we had detailed discussion on each Projects. He told me to explain heap sort with example by making tree and explain maxheap and minheap. He scanned my resume and asked questions on each and everything mentioned in it. So don’t fake on resume. He asked me about my higher studies plan. We had discussion on technologies and then I asked him about work culture at TIAA. After this third round ended.

Round 4: Technical + HR round

Tell me about yourself. Then he asked me about my college and what changes you see in yourself. Again few questions were asked on Projects. He gave me few situation based questions and asked me how will you respond to it. Tell me about your strong points and weak points. How will you overcome your weak points? Open for Pune/Mumbai location and I said yes for it. He asked me about my future goals. He asked me about my interests and asked me for my interest in ML and AI. At last I asked him about work culture at TIAA. After this fourth round ended.

Round 5: HR round

Tell me about yourself. Tell me more about yourself. Why do you want to join TIAA? After this fifth round ended.
