The Process:

The interview process for Tech Mahindra can vary depending on the role and experience level. However, here’s a general outline of what my experience was like:

  • Online Application: I submitted my resume and cover letter through their online portal.
  • Technical Screening (Optional): In some cases, there might be an initial online assessment testing your technical skills. I [did/did not] experience this stage.
  • Technical Interview: This was a video call with a technical team member. The interview lasted about [duration] and focused on [mention the main areas of technical skills tested, e.g., Java programming, specific technologies relevant to the role].
  • HR Interview: After the technical round, I had a telephone conversation with an HR representative. This interview was more about [mention the focus of the HR interview, e.g., behavioural questions, salary expectations, work experience fit for the company culture].

Technical Interview:

The technical interviewer was friendly and professional. Here are some of the key questions I was asked:

  • Tell me about yourself and your experience. (This is a common opening question, be prepared to give a concise and relevant overview)
  • [Mention specific technical questions related to the role] (e.g., for a Java developer role, questions about OOP concepts, data structures, or experience with specific frameworks).
  • Explain a technical challenge you faced in a previous project and how you overcame it. (This is a behavioural question that assesses your problem-solving skills)
  • Do you have any questions for me? (Always come prepared with a few insightful questions about the role or the company)

HR Interview:

The HR interview was more conversational. Here are some of the questions I recall:

  1. Why are you interested in working at Tech Mahindra? (Do your research and showcase your genuine interest in the company)
  2. What are your salary expectations?
  3. When would you be available to start?
  4. Tell me about a time you worked effectively in a team. (Another behavioural question)

Overall Experience:

The interview process was [positive/neutral/negative] overall. The interviewers were [friendly/professional/challenging].
