After the Online National Qualifier Test, students who performed well in the NQT were selected for the TCS Digital profile

NQT consists of:

Round 1:

Aptitude, Verbal, (Technical or Pseudocode solving), Puzzles. After completing the NQT, Toppers of NQT are selected for TCS Digital.

Round 2:

Two coding Questions (where 1 is Medium level and 1 is Easy level) and we will have a Time limit of 1hr. I have solved both questions. Each question could only be submitted five times, so I recommend using an online compiler. Some of my peers encountered issues with the platform’s Python compiler, so exercising caution before code submission is advisable.

Round 3:

It consists of 3 Panels(Technical, Managerial, HR). It started with Technical:

Introduce Yourself: I Introduce myself my educational background, skills that I have, projects, internships I have worked on, Achievements, and the open-source contributions I made. A significant portion of the discussion revolved around my project experiences. They were particularly interested in the project I had recently completed, as well as my final year project. I was asked to delve into the specifics of these projects, explaining the technologies I had used, the challenges I encountered, and the solutions I implemented. Additionally, the interviewers inquired about my proficiency in the tech stack I had mentioned on my resume, asking me to provide examples of how I had applied these skills in practical scenarios.

Furthermore, they showed a keen interest in my internship experience. I was asked to elaborate on the tasks and responsibilities I had undertaken during my internship and highlight the key takeaways and skills I had gained from that valuable experience.

I would advise you to take notes on what you would say to define your project work as that would gradually give you an idea about how you would explain it to the interviewers. GeeksforGeeks, Javatpoint and Tutorialspoint are the main sites that helped me prepare.

HR ROUND:

The HR round was very casual as compared to other rounds. They are just trying to get to know more about yourself

  • Why TCS?
  • About the relocation(yes/no)? I said Yes

These were questions asked me in the Interview(about 30 mins). I was unable to answer 3 to 4 questions. But overall it was a good experience.

You can reach me through the comments section if you have any queries. I will be writing more article on another interview experiences I had with companies like Texas Instruments, Aruba HP, Cognizant and more in the near future and I will link it in the comments.

Final verdict: Selected (15-18 selected out of list of 90).

Throughout every stage of the interview process and at each step of my interview preparation, I found “GeeksforGeeks” (GFG) to be an invaluable resource. GFG, in my opinion, is one of the finest platforms for honing technical skills, preparing for coding challenges, and enhancing my knowledge base. Whether I was brushing up on essential algorithms, practicing coding problems, or staying updated on the latest industry trends, GFG provided a wealth of information and learning opportunities.

Hope this helps. Thank you and All the Best. Keep learning
