Brief About TCS Digital:

TCS Digital is a leading IT company that offers a prime job profile for extraordinary freshers in the field of Digital Technologies. They hire candidates from all branches of B.Tech and M.Tech with a strong academic background. The salary package for this role is 7.5 LPA. Based on the candidates’ interests, they are mapped to various units such as IoT, AI, ML, Big Data, Virtual Reality, Blockchain, NLP, and more.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the TCS Digital role, candidates must have completed B.Tech or M.Tech with at least 60% in X and XII exams. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 7.0 CGPA in their undergraduate degree.

Recruitment Process:

The TCS Digital recruitment process consists of two rounds.

Round 1 – Online Assessment:

Candidates participate in a PAN-India online assessment. The assessment consists of two sections. The first section includes Aptitude questions like Verbal, Quantitative, and Logical reasoning. The second section contains Coding Questions of medium difficulty. The coding questions are reported to be unique, and candidates are required to solve them effectively.

Coding Questions Faced by me:

  • 1. Array Rotation (easy)
  • 2. Longest Substring with K Distinct Characters (medium)

Round 2 – F2F Interview [Technical + Managerial + HR]:

Shortlisted candidates from the online assessment move on to the second round, which is an online interview. The interview panel comprises three professionals representing HR, Technical, and Managerial aspects. The interview begins with a friendly conversation, discussing the candidate’s online learning experience and preferences.

The interview proceeds with the following segments:

1. HR Questions:

  • Introduction of the candidate.
  • Preferred Digital Technology (candidate mentioned AI/ML & Data Science).
  • Discussion about the candidate’s projects, the tools used, and the reasons for choosing those project topics.

2. Technical Questions:

  • Discussion on the skills mentioned in the candidate’s resume.
  • DSA-related questions, such as using a data structure for 2-way switching tabs (Doubly Linked List).
  • Real-life applications of advanced algorithms like Dijkstra’s Algorithm and Floyd Warshall.
  • Questions related to Trees & Graphs and their uses.

3. Managerial Questions:

  • Experience in working in a team and handling conflicts.
  • Willingness to pursue higher studies.
  • Moments of stepping out of my comfort zone.
  • Motivation to join TCS.
  • Role model.

The interview concludes with an HR question about the candidate’s preference between TCS Digital and TCS Ninja profiles.

The TCS Digital recruitment process assesses candidates’ technical skills, managerial capabilities, and alignment with the company’s values and culture, making it an extensive and comprehensive evaluation process.
