How the Tata Imagination Challenge 2022 sparked my creativity

Hello, myself Narjis Fatema, a passionate learner who always loves exploring opportunities to learn and grow. I am very enthusiastic about looking for competitions and challenges where I get a chance to unleash my creativity, where I can share my idea/opinions about a product/service and build up my skills. 

Tata Imagination Challenge is a brainstorming competition that is organized annually by the Tata Group for all the college students across India as well as for the employees working in Tata so that they can put forth their creative and innovative ideas. The concepts can be associated with any aspect such as technology, conservation, scientific research, economy, societal transformation, creativity, entrepreneurship, business innovation, medical care, and beyond. The various reasons which motivated me to participate in this challenge include certificates, gaining in-depth knowledge and a better understanding of the Tata Group, chances of visiting Tata companies, and coupons and vouchers of the Tata brands. Here is my certificate of participation attached. 

There were a total of 3 rounds out of which I qualified for 2 rounds. The first round consisted of the Tata brand assessment wherein the historical knowledge regarding various Tata brands, their products, and services were assessed. While preparing for this round, I acquired a lot of knowledge regarding their different brands and services. The second round was a Gamified assessment which was quite fun-filled and enthusiastic. It consisted of a total of 6 different time-constrained games.

The different skills I learned were Time management, flexibility, adaptability how to identify and execute the problem on the spot as per the solution given in the form of hints, and curiosity. As I moved from one activity to another, it enhanced my confidence and boosted my curiosity level. According to the professional growth view, these games have real-life applications such as in Finance management, trading and investment, supply chain management, etc. wherein the scenarios were given in the form of problem statements, and the technological/coding solution was provided in the form of hints. 

If you have an entrepreneurial mindset or even ideas that can affect the development of the environment, then this is a brainstorming challenge for you that will ignite and empower you. Initially, you need to study and acquire some rough knowledge about the Tata brands which are available on their websites, Instagram handles and be up to date with their news. Lastly, believe in yourself, embrace your passion, and do not try to lose your confidence.
