Never be scared of rejection; society will always pose barriers on your path but don’t get distracted.

I remember when I started my preparation for SSC. Initially, everything was going so smoothly as I had just come from school. Soon after, I joined coaching for SSC with the hope of clearing the exam, just like every other student who joined coaching, filled with hope and dreams. I found Maths and Reasoning interesting, and the other subjects, English and GS, were also good.

The day arrived when my SSC CHSL exam was scheduled, and I found myself outside the exam center with hope amidst a huge crowd. After the exam, I realized one thing: preparation in the right direction with the latest material is crucial. It is more helpful than doing hard work in the wrong direction, and the basics of each and every topic are very important. This was my first experience with SSC CHSL, and despite attempts at many more exams, including SSC, I failed in each.

Then, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and everything came to a halt, turning into a depressing moment for me. I contracted COVID at a severe stage, and gradually, I lost interest in everything; it felt like everything was over for me. Time passed, and 2022 began. I struggled to restart my SSC preparation, attempting it once but failing again. Those one to two years were so depressing. I started thinking about my post-graduation as a backup plan. I prepared for NIMCET but failed again, securing a rank of 1225. I didn’t get admission to NITs. I started getting pressure from society and relatives as I was an older girl from an Indian family, but I’m so grateful to my mummy and papa, who always supported me and my support rather than thinking about society.

So, I opted for a Tier 3 college in my city for MCA. I am still working hard, well aware of the scenario in Tier 3 colleges. I am focusing on my coding skills and development skills, and working on my own personality. I applied to many companies for internships but received rejection emails from everywhere. However, I am still working with hope and optimism.

What I learned during SSC, especially my aptitude skills, is now helping me in my MCA placement. During my journey, I realized that rejections somehow make you stronger. Never be scared of rejection; society will always pose barriers on your path but don’t get distracted. Follow your path and achieve your goals with faith and hope. I am still working hard with a lot of faith, knowing that hard work never fails; it always teaches a lesson.

All the best!
