As I stood at the crossroads of my academic journey after completing my 12th grade, the pursuit of finding the perfect university weighed heavily on my mind. Countless institutions promised excellence, but none seemed to resonate with my aspirations as deeply as Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU). After tireless research and careful consideration, I found myself unequivocally convinced that SRMU was the best choice for me in the city.

Choosing Home Ground: Exploring Placement Prospects in Lucknow’s Premier Institutions

With my scores of JEE, I had the chance of getting admission in colleges in other cities but after comparing the average placement packages everywhere, I found that the majority of the private institution’s packages in LPA were somewhat similar. My father suggested I remain in Lucknow and join the college best in the region. Since I was already a year late after completing my 12th, I was not ready to take another drop year.

I searched thoroughly and found that Ramswaroop Group was offering better placements and a good study environment by scheduled classrooms in Lecture, Revisions, and Practical format.

I along with my father enquired if I could get enrolled into SRMCEM but since the JEE results for 2022 were not out yet, I was not able to take a decision if I shall wait or get admission somewhere.

Enrolling at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University for B.Tech. CS with Cybersecurity

We visited Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University after visiting colleges like SRMCEM and BBD. The administration for the admission procedures was really cooperative. The entrance and the administration building along with different institute buildings at its behind give it an appealing look. We there booked a seat for BTech CS with Cybersecurity offered by TCSion.

Why not BBD?

Though BBD is a well renowned private institution as well along with the affiliation with AKTU the study environment there is not as good as Ramswaroop as many of the students studying there are found to be from political backgrounds because of which the politics found there have its own role in distracting their students from the career or the choice of their course and getting involved into something they would have never thought of.

I took admission in BTech along with specialization. Though a plain or normal version of BTech is available here as well. There is a nominal difference in the fee structure of both courses. Currently, the University offers the UG degree of Bachelor of Technology in the following subjects:

  1. B.Tech CS (Normal) or Specialization in
    1. DS+AI
    2. Cybersecurity
    3. Cloud Computing + AI
    4. Blockchain
  2. BTech in ME
  3. BTech in Biotechnology
  4. BTech in Civil Engg.
  5. BTech in ECE
  6. BTech in EE

Starting with the Application

The first-year course fee can either be submitted into lumpsum amount which at my time was around 1.50 lacs or can be divided into 3 installments. While submitting the admission form, you need to pay the first installment or a minimum of 10k.

Document Verification

After the seat allotment, candidates are required to report to the university for document verification. They need to submit the necessary documents, such as educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant paperwork.

Once the document verification is completed, your admission is confirmed and now you get various details about your interaction with different clubs of the university. They perform an online Introduction and Orientation in around July before you would be given a date to join physically to entertain you.

This time you get the chance to explore your University’s clubs and seniors virtually even now when its the non-COVID era.

Overall I had a good experience of taking admission ton this University. No rush, you can decide well and then take the admission into it.
