SASTRA Deemed University Admission Experience

The basic factor in choosing SASTRA University was the reputation of this university for academic excellence and the development of students in different fields. From the exquisitely detailed engineering course to the nature-enhanced atmosphere by the environment that promotes growth and development, SASTRA appeared to be the right school for my journey of education. The admission screening, which included the SASTRA Aptitude Test, aimed to put my academic competence and stamina to the test which helped boost my confidence. Through detailed preparation and solid determination, counselling sessions and interviews` gave me a lot of hope and good feelings. The moment I read the letter of admission, my breath got away with me and I became overwhelmed with a feeling of success and the vast opportunities that awaited me. SASTRA’s initiation in offering up-to-date infrastructure, experienced faculty, and abundant research avenues finally instilled a confidence that I made the right choice since it would be an outstanding learning experience. I am excited to be beginning a new journey by becoming a member of the academic community at SASTRA which is characterized by the institution’s values and direction towards becoming the best school.

In my last period, SASTRA University set a reputation for its outstanding engineering and science programs which are situated in Tamil Nadu, India. While the emulation of the actual event is not implied, I can still convey what the admission procedure might be like from past studies.

Application Process:

Generally, SASTRA University offers an online application where the incoming students are expected to fill out forms straight to the main website. It concerns the submission of your personal data, academic credentials, and sometimes, copies of scores from a test like SAT or ACT.

Entrance Examination:

SASTRA conducts The SET (SASTRA Entrance Examination) as a separate entrance exam which it conducts itself. The exam is a written test, designed to ensure the comprehension of topics like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology (depending on some programs). In this respect, I have to put enough effort in terms of preparation as the success of this exam determines admission eligibility and scholarship opportunities that I aim at.

Counselling/Interviews:

Following the publication of the trial results of the applicants, selected people are always invited for counselling sessions. Sessions in these would most probably involve interviews to examine the applicants’ ability to join the course they applied for. The helping process of selecting the appropriate branch of study in terms of the merit list and the availability of the seats also falls on the counselling, as well.

Documentation and Fee Payment:

After the process of counselling is finished the files of accepted candidates are passed for verification and must submit documents such as academic transcripts, identity proof, and photographs. Moreover, they will have to deposit the admission fees in the endowed period to have their chance of selection.

Orientation and Registration:

Lastly, orientation activities will be introduced to these admitted students to make them conversant with departmental regulations and other policies of the school. After finishing the mandatory communication, the potential students complete the registration process and become students of SASTRA University officially.
