Chandigarh University Admission Experience

In a student’s life, college admission plays a pivotal role. The process of college admission is filled with excitement and anxiety. I also had gone through this college admission journey, therefore, I can feel the rollercoaster ride of those emotions. In this article, I am going to share my own experience with the college admission process along with the lessons I learned.

This journey is divided into four stages:

College quest

Before the actual application process, we already have an image of our ideal college. I interacted with my senior schoolmates, watched a number of college reviews, and conducted research to jot down my choices. And it was helpful. This exploration and navigation is important because it is going to build the foundation for another phase of our education.

Application Process

Once the list of my college options was done, I boarded for my application preparations. This included writing essays reflecting on me and my aspirations to grab letters of recommendation showcasing my character and academics. After submitting the applications, the waiting period arrives.

Awaiting the decision

With each of the decision letters from each of the colleges, it made me overjoyed or anxious. A positive reply made boosted my confidence but at the same time a rejection, it was disheartening. I was continuously reminding myself that one rejection can’t define my potential. Rather than taking stress off outcomes, I kept myself engaged in other activities.

The final choice

After several decision letters in my hand, the most challenging task was to select the correct college. There were many factors that played a role in the final selection process of college such as placement rates, location, campus environment and culture, and many more. And I finally stopped my quest at Chandigarh University.

I’m a Bachelor of Engineering Computer Science student. Few important points you need to know about admission to this university:-

1. Entrance Exam: Chandigarh University conducts an exam called CUCET for admission to its various branches, based on which you can also get a scholarship.
2. Eligibility criteria: You need to have your intermediate result of at least 60% and an entrance exam qualification. It might vary depending on the program and course you choose.
3. Documents required: Have your necessary documents ready at the time of admission such as your domicile, board mark sheets, character and migration certificates, a few photographs, and an identity card. After you meet you are done with your application process and got a confirmation from the university regarding admission, you need to report to the campus for document verification and pay the admission fees.

My overall experience regarding this journey was quite great. If I go back to my college admission journey, I found that the whole admission process taught me the importance of time management and persistence. And this experience shaped me. Concluding, I would say that the journey could be stressful and challenging but at the same time, it also gives you an exciting experience. You can turn this journey more amazing with careful planning and preparation.
