What was my plan?

My journey through college has been an exhilarating adventure, marked by a commitment to continuous learning and personal growth. Before setting foot on my college campus, I had a clear plan in mind. I was determined to make the most of my time in higher education by embarking on a unique journey. I decided that in each semester, I would immerse myself in the study of either a new programming language or a cutting-edge technology. Little did I know that this decision would not only enrich my academic experience but also help me navigate the challenging times that lay ahead.

What I’ve done while preparing for my entrance exam?

As I prepared for my college entrance exams, the world was grappling with COVID-19. Instead of succumbing to the anxiety that this global pandemic brought, I decided to channel my energy into something productive. I chose to delve into the realm of Java programming. The decision was driven by my inherent curiosity and a desire to explore a language that I had heard so much about. Little did I know that this decision would be a pivotal turning point in my academic journey.

How did the plan work?

Learning Java during those uncertain times turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It not only kept my mind engaged and motivated, but it also provided me with valuable skills that I would later apply in my college courses. Looking back on those days, I can’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and contentment. I realize that I was able to turn a challenging situation into an opportunity for personal and academic growth. This experience has taught me the importance of adaptability, curiosity, and the pursuit of knowledge as essential tools for not only surviving but thriving in the ever-changing landscape of higher education.

What I’ve learned till now?

Fast forward to my fifth semester, and my journey through college has been nothing short of incredible. I have not only stayed true to my commitment to learning a new programming language or technology each semester, but I’ve also exceeded my expectations. At this point in my academic career, I can proudly say that I’ve delved into the intricacies of five different programming languages, explored the complexities of Database Management Systems (DBMS), ventured into the world of Android and Flutter app development, and even dived deep into building Java Backend Services with SpringBoot.

I would like to conclude this article by suggesting to my friends. Since I joined my dream course i.e. Computer Science And Engineering, I used to learn things for 8-9 hours a day. Initially, It felt good even my professors used to appreciate me a lot ( even today); but as the days passed I figured out that I was in a rush to learn new things other than revising more.

Suggestion: Learning new things no problem with that, but never make a time limit within which certain topics must be learned. This makes many topics uncleared and you may have to invest still more time in the future. So, Be slow and steady.

Also, We have a precious human life to live so don’t just make time to learn, but also to enjoy a bit. And enjoying doesn’t mean watching Instagram/Snapchat.

Thank you
