Samsung Research Institute Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2019

Samsung Research Institute Noida visited our Campus for the role of Software Engineer.

Allowed Branches: CS, ECE, ENC

Eligibility: 7+ CGPA

Campus: Thapar University

There were 3 rounds: 1 Coding test, 1 Technical Round, and 1 HR Round.

Round 1: Coding Test:

The test was conducted in two phases. You need to qualify in one only. The test was on Samsung’s own testing platform SCS. This coding test consisted of one question which needed to be solved in 3hr time. There were 10 test cases, and you need to pass all of them. The question was based on a Bipartite Graph. The question was easy, but it needs to be optimized in both manners of complexity and memory.

Those who didn’t qualify in any of the above two tests were given an objective pen-paper-based test. These were offered Internship offers while others were offered FTE.

Round 2: Technical Round:

This round duration was around 30 minutes. The Interviewer first asked me to give my introduction and then asked some questions about projects and the tools and techniques used in them. After that, he asked about the approach I applied in the Coding Test and intuition for my approach. Then he asked about some OOPs concepts like Polymorphism, Abstraction, etc.

Round 3: HR Round

This round was pretty quick, at most 10 mins. Firstly, the Interviewer went through my resume and asked me about my family, hobbies, and schooling. Then she asked about my future goals.

24 students were selected for the FTE offer and 12 students for the Internship.
