ABOUT RGUKT

IIIT RGUKT is a state government university, the main goal of this university is to give world-class facilities to rural background people in Andhra Pradesh.

COURSES OFFER:

They offer you a 6-year integrated course, which is of 2 years of pre-university courses and a 4-year Btech program, in CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Metallurgical.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
One should complete his/her 10th class from a recognized school, there after he should apply through the website www.rgukt.in to apply when the notification comes.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

One should go through the RGUKT official website www.rgukt.in and apply there, we should fill out the application form for applying there, the application fee is 400 rupees I think so. We should fill in our personal details and Academic details on the application form.

ENTRANCE EXAM & COUNCELLING:

They select people based on their 10th-class GPA, if one is from a government school then he/she will get most preference than others. Sometimes they conduct entrance exams to take admission in the years 2020,2021 they took admissions by conducting entrance examination, but in 2022 they gave admissions based on 10th class GPA, mostly in 2023 also they take 10th class GPA as their eligibility criteria. There after they release a merit list of nearly 4500 people for 4 campuses (IIIT Nuzvid, IIIT RK Valley, IIIT Ongole, IIIT Srikakulam)1100 for each campus, there after they call for counseling, and give seats in the candidate’s preferred campus as per their merit.

DOCUMENT VERIFICATION:

During seat allocation, they check our 10th class Certificates, TC, Income certificates for scholarships, and other certificates like NCC, Sports if they have any.

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

There will be no interview process for the admission, they take admission either based on 10th class GPA or Entrance examination.

MY EXPERIENCE:

When RGUKT admissions are opened I applied from their website, then gave their entrance examination, i got 76/100 marks which is on Maths(40 marks), Physics (20 marks), Chemistry(20 marks), and Biology(20 marks),there after got call to attend the counseling,got a seat in IIIT Ongole, by submitting documents, paying admission fees of 4000 rupees, the college fees is 60,000, if one is eligible for scholarship government will pay it, so for those people it’s free.

COLLEGE LIFE:

I joined this university in 2021, in pre university course they taught us Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, they also taught us a subject called Information Technology, where they taught us the Basics of computers and we learned ms office in class 11, latex a text editing software,html css javascript and python in our pre-university course, they provide us a laptop also.

In Btech apart from studies they conduct many classes for the students like Web development courses, Android courses, SQL courses, and GATE coaching for free of cost. The students here are amazing. Placements are somehow better.
