Overview

Poornima University, which is established in 2012, and mostly known for its diversity in students and education. It got a pretty good lush green campus of 32 acres in Sitapura, Jaipur which have decent connectivity by public busses and roads across Jaipur.

Admission

There are two ways to get into this college, one is by Management Quota, and one is through JEE Mains Exam. To get admission to college through Management Quota, which is something around 15%, you need to visit the college office on campus. And to get admission through JEE Mains, applicants need to full fill the eligibility criteria and participate in counseling where admissions are solely done on the basis of your merit.

Eligibility Criteria

To get admission, candidates should have completed their 10+2 examination or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% aggregate ( 45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/girls) and along with 45% in maths and physics as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have valid JEE mains ranks to participate in counseling.

Counseling Registration

You need to register for REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) before it deadline ends. You can fill out the form of REAP online on its website by registering yourself and uploading the required documents. Don’t miss the deadline for REAP form filling (the last date of form filling would be available on their website )

Counseling Procedure

After the deadline for form filling ends, soon REAP will declare the merit list of all the candidates registered for reaping this year. You can visit your REAP rank online on their website. For 4-7 days, a window will be open for corrections in documents, caste, domicile, and other details. After all that, the final merit list will be declared and a choice-filling window will be available. The counseling will be done on the basis of the final merit list declared. You can fill in the choices you want to opt in the choice filling form in your desired priority order.

Admission procedure through counseling

You can keep yourself updated during the process about which branch/choice is allotted to you. Once you get your particular choice including Poornima University, you will receive the email of seat allotment and the last date to fill out your first semester fees and confirm your admission.

  • 10th board mark sheet
  • 12th board mark sheet
  • your passport-size photo
  • JEE Mains scored card
  • Domicile Certificate, if using home state quota of Rajasthan (uploaded while registering for REAP)
  • Caste certificate, if you belong to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWD

Why Poornima University?

  • Career: We can have pretty decent placement opportunities here. This year’s highest placement was 45LPA with an average CTC of 5.45LPA with more than 30 students getting placed with a CTC of more than 20LPA.
  • Culture: Poornima has a lot of branches and streams, including extracurriculars with a lot of cultural events, societies, and clubs. Entrepreneurship cell which promotes startup culture in the university. Also, it’s pretty safe for girls around here. Innovation is also being promoted a lot with 11 copyrights, and 137 patents published in the last 3 years.
  • Academics: Academics here work on a credit system, so to get your degree, you need to fulfill the minimum credits. You get credits for most of the things you do here like being active in college societies, hackathons, extracurriculars, internships, projects, etc.

Personal Experience

Teachers here are polite and actually know how to teach and what language to use. Grounds here are big, but mostly active in late evenings due to sunlight. Hostel Food is average. The canteen here is great for food and socialization.
