When I was in 2nd year I was interested in web development and looking for an Internship then I found that NxtWave is hiring for Technical content writers it is a paid internship which is requires a knowledge of mern stack and strong communication and writing skills so I applied it through LinkedIn. after a week I received an email that I had been shortlisted for the next round.

Telephonic Interview

after a week I received a phone call from NxtWave hr she just asked some simple questions like your past work experience and what kind of work you did in previous organisation and told me that it a onsite internship so you have came to office. and I agreed with all the conditions then I received a mail for final Interview where I need to do a live assignment at the time interview. before hour of the interview I reoceived a google docs where some basic topic are mentioned and I need to write a article in one of mentioned topic on the google docs

Final Interview

I join the meeting and the first question is came to me is that introduce yourself and after that the he told me that you need to write an engaging article in 600-800 words with proper headings subheadings and make sure that it is free from technical jargons so it will understand by the mass audience. I note down all the points and choose the topic from google docs and then start sharing my screen to him. and whenever I write a heade ing I explain it to him and some times I also takes suggestion from him and he also help me to make the article more engaging. I also need to take care of time so I write the whole article and then he asked some questions to me like why you used some specific words and why you think it will help to the readers and I answered all the question.

Final result

at that my writing speed is not good so every single time I use to make mistakes and did not practice this kind of interviews before so some times my mind goes bllind in the interview so this factors are mojorly effected my interview so after a week I received a mail and they told you are not ready now for this opportunity and after a some time you can also reapply for this position.

  • try to mention the relevant skills in resume. read the job description and accumalte your resume according to it
  • be confident you have some doubt. double check the question and if required so ask relevant questions.
  • you can prepare some basic questions before the interview like your introduction, previous work and etc.
  • you can take reference from the similar interview experiences
