Users can easily write and read emails in their chosen regional languages thanks to a wide range of vernacular features. Voice typing, transliteration, and the ability to read emails in regional languages are some of these benefits.

It’s easy to use Outlook Lite. Users in India can now write and read emails in up to five Indian languages: Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. To accommodate the diverse linguistic landscape of the country, additional languages will be included in the near future. In the future, they plan to add more languages to this list.

Coming Soon – Language Translation for SMS in Microsoft Outlook Lite

A new language translation function for SMS is coming to Outlook Lite soon, with the goal of improving communication for people all over the world by removing language barriers. This feature’s operation is as follows:

Real-time Translation

When you get an SMS message, the app will instantly translate it into the language you choose, so you can read it without having to do it yourself.

Seamless Switching

With just a tap, you can switch between languages, which makes it easy to talk to people who speak different languages.

Accessibility Enhancement

This function will make it easier for people who speak more than one language or don’t speak English very well to send and receive SMS messages.

Overall, Outlook Lite’s SMS integration and language translation capabilities are designed to simplify SMS communication, enhance user experience, and promote global connectivity.

The Vision

The evolution of Outlook Lite was discussed by Rajiv Kumar, who is the managing director of Microsoft India Development Centre and corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Experiences and Devices, India Group.
