I recently had the opportunity to interview for a Senior Software Developer position at Landmark Group. The interview process consisted of three rounds, including a technical round, a second technical round, and a managerial round. Here’s a detailed account of my interview experience:

Round-1: Technical Round

The first round of the interview was a technical assessment conducted by an interviewer who assessed my knowledge of Java 8 concepts, including the use of Stream APIs. Additionally, I was asked basic Spring-related questions like BeanFactory vs ApplicationContext, Spring Security implementation, Spring scopes, etc. The round also included a coding question that involved finding substrings of a given string where the first and last characters are in uppercase.

Round-2: Technical Round

The second technical round was conducted by a senior professional who assessed my understanding of core Java concepts such as polymorphism, association, and exception handling. Following these questions, we delved deeper into advanced topics such as design patterns, SOLID principles, security implementation, and Hibernate mapping. After these questions, he jumped to message broker implementations and distributed system designs i.e. microservices designs.

Round-3: Managerial Round

The third and final round was a managerial round where I had the opportunity to discuss my previous experience and expectations regarding the project and compensation. The round focused on understanding my overall fit within the organization, my leadership abilities, and my aspirations.

During this round, I shared my previous experience, highlighting the projects I had worked on and the challenges I faced. I also discussed my expectations regarding the project I would be assigned to and provided insights into my long-term career goals. Compensation-related discussions were also part of this round.

Conclusion

Having completed all three rounds of the interview process for the Senior Software Developer position at Landmark Group, I am currently awaiting a response from the company. The interview experience at Landmark Group was thorough and allowed me to showcase my technical skills, architectural understanding, and cultural fit within the organization.

I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to Landmark Group’s team and the potential to make a positive impact on their projects. I remain optimistic and eagerly await a response from the company.
