jQWidgets jqxGrid sortby() Method

jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxGrid is used to illustrate a jQuery widget that shows data in tabular form. Moreover, it renders full support for connecting with data, as well as paging, grouping, sorting, filtering and editing.

The sortby() method is used to sort the data of the displayed jqxGrid. It does not returns anything.

Syntax:

$('#Selector').jqxGrid('sortby', 'dataField', 'sortOrder');

Parameters:

  • dataField: It is the stated datafield of the column, which is of type string.
  • sortOrder: It is the stated sorting order, which is of type string. The value for the sort order can be asc, desc, or null.
