jQuery Mobile is a web-based technology used to make responsive content that can be accessed on all smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

In this article, we will be using the jQuery Mobile Selectmenu icon option for replacing the default icon “carat-d” with an icon from the icon set. When the value of this attribute is set to “false”, then it suppresses the icon and for suppressing the icon, a boolean expression must be used.

Syntax:  Initializing the Selectmenu with the specified icon option.

$( ".selector" ).selectmenu({
icon: "star"
});
  • Setting the classes option:

    $( ".selector" ).selectmenu( "option", "icon", "star" );
  •

  • Getting the classes option:

    var disabled = $( ".selector" ).selectmenu( "option", "icon" );

CDN Link: First, add jQuery Mobile scripts needed for your project.

<link rel=”stylesheet” href=”//code.jquery.com/mobile/1.5.0-alpha.1/jquery.mobile-1.5.0-alpha.1.min.css”
<script src=”//code.jquery.com/jquery-3.2.1.min.js”></script>
<script src=”//code.jquery.com/mobile/1.5.0-alpha.1/jquery.mobile-1.5.0-alpha.1.min.js”></script>
