Jaypee University of Information Technology(JUIT) is situated in Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. The campus is spread over 25 acres .

Academic activities at JUIT started in July 2002.

The university also offers M. Tech. programs in Biotechnology, Biotechnology with specializations in Industrial Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology, Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with a focus on Information Security and Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Elective Microbiology and Biotechnology both have MSc programs available.

Doctoral Phd is offered in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Materials Science.

Infrastructure:

The JUIT now has a built-up area of 74228.71 sq m due to the infrastructure’s phased construction. A large auditorium, lecture halls, classrooms, tutorial rooms, laboratories, administrative offices, faculty offices, and a library are all included in the academic block. The dorms, student mess, guest rooms, helipad, outdoor sports facilities, and dispensary are all located on the second terrace of the hill. The Civil Engineering Department, faculty housing, a temple, laundry facilities, and stores are all located on the lower terrace of the hill. The campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity guarantees easy access to digital resources, fostering a favorable learning atmosphere. The hostels provide students with safe and delightful living quarters because they are cozy and well-maintained.

Impressions is the most well-known festival. Numerous societies and clubs, including those for music, dance, drama, literature, programming hubs, and drama, which cater to a variety of interests, are available here, allowing students to create a well-rounded personality and pursue their passions.

The committed placement and training department works assiduously to attract prestigious organizations to campus, providing students with intriguing job options. The institute provides students with the tools they need to ace job interviews through pre-placement training programs, practice interviews, and aptitude testing.
