ITC Infotech came to hire candidates for Software Engineer

The drive is of 1-day event.

Eligibility criteria: 65% or 6.5 in B.Tech average, to date.

Drive Consists of 3 Rounds:

Round 1: Online MCQ Test

The duration of the test is about 1 hour and the webcam is there while this round happens. This test covers all the topics related to, Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, Programming, Data Structures, Networking, and Micro-processors. If you have good knowledge then you can answer the question otherwise you won’t be able to clear this round. The cut-off for this round is too high out of 210 candidates they selected only 50 students for the next round.

Round 2: Online Coding Test

The candidates who cleared Round 1 were informed of the next round via email. In this round, there were 3 questions. Total Duration is 1 hr. All the question requires Basics coding question and DSA skill to solve the problem. A webcam was opened during this round and all these questions require Diversified thinking you need to apply coding Concepts to solve the question. The question is made by their team so you can’t find a solution on the Internet.

In this round, I attempted all the questions but for 1 question I was not able to clear the hidden test cases. 18 Students were selected from this round and I was one of them.

Round 3: Physical Interview

In this round, they asked me:

  • Tell me about Yourself.
  • Where do you find yourself after 5 years?
  • Why do you want to join this company?

Tell me about your previous two rounds of experience

Next for Technical Questions, they asked some questions related to Java:

  • What is OOPs
  • Why you have chosen Java Language for solving Round 2 questions?
  • Tell about Polymorphism, Inheritance, Abstraction,

Next, They gave me to blank paper and wrote the answer and they gave me the same question which I was not able to solve in Round 2. Also, they asked me what the approach to solving this question was, and lastly, they asked me to write the pseudocode for this question in my white paper. While doing this they helped me out if I stuck at any point also they help me. And with their guidance, I can solve this question

Lastly, they asked me “Do you have any questions for me?” So, I asked about the further process of onboarding. They replied I will be sending marks of this round to the company. The company has its cut-off and it will take an average of all the 3 Rounds if your average mark is greater than the company threshold then you will be selected.

From the remaining 20 students who appeared in this round, only 8 students were selected and I was one of them.
