IIT Bombay Campus Experience

Introduction

Whenever you think about the dream college of any study preparing for IIT, you will hear the name IIT Bombay. It’s been a pleasure for me to be a part of such a prestigious institution that not only excels in academic endeavours but also provides a window to the outer world through its strong alumni connection. I joined the institution after clearing JEE Advanced in 2019 and I want to share what was it like to be a part of this institution.

The Four Years spent well

First Year

The first year was the year when I explored a lot and delved into the realms of technology. IIT Bombay has a range of clubs to offer. I particularly took part in activities of automation and robotics club to find something that could incline with my interests. Not only this, i also came across some great extracurricular spaces like the student activity centre where I considered joining badminton. Overall the first year was all about feeling the awe of getting into IIT Bombay.

Second Year

As I entered the second year of college I realized that the competition had grown tough and academics was at peak with 10 courses in one semester. I shortlisted my clubs to ensure I could properly give time to both my academics and extracurriculars. Most of the second year was spent preparing for exams and for internship season. It was during this time when I realized how the seniors at IIT Bombay were so helpful as they Guided me at each and every step.

Third Year

Once the internship season was over, we were free to focus on other domains of life. I particularly invested myself in different clubs where I could enhance my communication skills throught different positions of responsibility. The most interesting part of Third year was the interesting fests that were organized to spread the spirit of joy among students. Singers like sunidhi Chauhan was called and actors like Kiara advani made the fest a huge success. My favorite memory of Third year is enjoying the Spirits of mood indigo.

Fourth Year

As college came to an end, we ensured to get maximum out of the last year. We studied ardently for placement season. Me and my friends constantly took mock tests and interviews to ensure proper preparation. Despite the tense circumstances, we always held each other’s back and worked with perseverance. After the hardworking schedule and after grabbing great placements, we adorned our last year with beautiful memories from fests, trips and hangouts.

Conclusion

As I graduate from the college, I will always cherish the memories I made here. Those late night canteen visits, the motivational talks with friends, the gpl parties at every birthday and many more memories. The college shaped me into the person I am today and I will forever be grateful to the institution.
