DXC Technology Interview Experience for SDE (On-Campus) 2023

DXC Technology visited for a virtual campus drive in August. They had a pre-placement talk initially where they told about the company and the job role. We were offered the job for the SDE-Associate Professional role.

ROUND 1: ONLINE ASSESSMENT

They conducted a test on the AMCAT platform. There were 7 sections:

• Verbal ability- 12 questions in 15 minutes
• Logical ability – 14 questions in 14 minutes
• Quantitative ability(advanced)- 16 questions in 16 minutes
• Writes Pro-Essay Writing – 1 Topic in 20 minutes, 200-400 word
• SVAR Conversational – Spoken English – 7 sections 40 sec each
• Computer Programming (Technical questions and output prediction) – 12 questions in 15 minutes
• Automata – 2 questions in 45 minutes

Some key points of this round:

• It is a timed exam round.
• There is no negative marking in this round.
• A question once answered cannot be revisited. (No switching allowed)
• Each section had a sectional cutoff too.

ROUND 2: INTERVIEW

My Interview started with the intro of the interviewer followed by my intro. Then I was asked about projects (I gave the detailed description of the projects that I had mentioned in the resume, and I was asked about the databases used in one of my projects.)

• I was asked a few situation based questions:
• Night shift morning shift flexibility
• Working on Weekends flexibility
• Any big mistake that you have made in past
• 3 Weaknesses and strengths
• What if you are being allotted an infrastructure role?
• why should we hire you?
• Are you willing to relocate?
• Any Query?

I was also asked about Cloud computing and its services. I had neither mentioned it in my resume nor I was having any work

experience or knowledge in that domain. So the interviewer came with some discussions and explanations over the topic.

ROUND 3: FINAL INTERVIEW

The Interview was conducted on 28 August at 2:00 PM. I was asked some basic HR questions:

• Introduce Yourself
• What do you know about DXC?
• What are your strengths and weaknesses? How did you overcome them?
• What is the mistake that you have made in past and then received feedback for it? What was that feedback and how did you work on it?
• What do you think is the reason which our country is feeling proud currently?
• What do you know about ISRO?
• I was also asked a situation based question: Suppose there is a team of 28 members and one issue came from the customer’s side. You are being asked to lead this issue with the team and you are not allowed to disturb the 4 senior members from the team of 28. Also, the deadline for resolving the issue is 5 working days else our company will need to pay the compensation and your manager doesn’t want that situation. How will you proceed to handle this situation?
• Are you flexible in working in any shifts?
• Are you willing to relocate?

NOTE : Every student’s interview was different as per the interviewer. So prepare well and don’t leave anything just because it wasn’t asked in someone else’s interview.
