Dronacharya Award is an award presented by the government of India to recognize outstanding coaches in the field of sports. The award was instituted in 1985 and is named after the legendary coach Dronacharya, who trained the Pandavas in the epic of Mahabharata.

- The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 15 lakh for lifetime catagory and Rs. 10 lakh for Regular catagory, a bronze statuette of Dronacharya, and a certificate.
- The award is given out in several categories, including athletics, boxing, wrestling, hockey, badminton, and weightlifting, among others.
- In addition to the Dronacharya Award, the government of India also presents the Dhyan Chand Award, which recognizes lifetime achievement in sports coaching.
