Clavimate Classes Interview experience for Physics Tutor

Introduction

It all started when I applied to the company via Internshala. Clavimate classes is a startup founded by the government of India and NIT Rourkela I applied as a physics tutor (part-time role).

Interview Round 1: Subject-related questions

It went on for about 15 to 20 minutes where I was first asked about some fundamentals of the subject like from the chapter EMI. some numerical-based questions and i was asked to explain my approach for the problem, they were from modern physics and rotation part.

Q1: What are the real-life implementations of electromagnetic induction?
Q2: Why do we prefer AC over DC?

Q3:What are di-electric materials?

Q4: What are the different types of capacitors and which one of them is used most?

Interview Round 2: Nonsubjective questions

Further on they asked about my strengths and weaknesses, There were 3 of the interviewers and they all were nice and supportive. They asked if I had any prior experiences in teaching online and they continue asking about stuff like are you comfortable with using pen tab, Microsoft power point and all

• What are your strengths and weaknesses?
• Why do you think you are a suitable fit for this job?
• What extra would you bring to the students as a tutor?
• Apart from physics which is your second most preferred subject?
  

Result

Finally, it ended on a positive note and I was selected off the round and then they asked me for taking some demo classes. Which I took later on everything went well there too and finally I was selected for the position.
