Cisco visited our Campus for Full Time hiring.

Round 1: This was an online test conducted on Hackerrank. It had 1 coding question and 14 MCQs. Coding question was of easy standard and MCQs are on Computer Science fundamentals. In MCQ section, Computer networks and Operting system were having higher weightage.

Round 2: It was a technical interview. In this round I was asked to solve some coding problems. Those were of easy to moderate standard. Then he asked me some basic questions in computer networks. Some of them are.

What is TCP?

How does TCP work?

What is Routing in Computer Networking? Explain any routing algorithm.

Explain 3-way Hand-shaking in TCP connection establishment.

Round 3: Another technical interview. In this round interviewer focused on resume and Operating systems. Some questions from resume then he asked me to explain one of the projects listed in my resume. After resume he came to Computer Fundamentals. Most of the questions were from Operating systems. Some of the questions are

What is Process? and how process is stored in Memory?

What are the different components in PCB and explain it’s structure?

Explain Context switch in CPU Scheduling.

And some basic questions on Paging concept of Memory Management.

I was called for final round that was HR interview. But due to engagement in other interviews I couldn’t appear for this round.
