Chandigarh University Admission Experience

Hello everyone, I took admitted to Chandigarh University (CU) Mohali in the 2021-2025 batch, My course is Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science Engineering) the duration of this course is 4 years(8 semesters) and currently I am in the 5th semester, I completed my 1st, 2nd and 3rd semester in the online mode because of corona pandemic and in 4th semester onwards I am in offline mode. throughout my admission journey it was quite easy and not much stressful, Here are the brief details of my entire admission process, entrance exam, and eligibility criteria.

Entrance Exam

The first step I took for admission to Chandigarh University was to give the entrance exam named CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test) 2021 total time was 120 minutes and the difficulty level was moderate there were 10 questions in English, 30 questions in Physics, 30 question in Mathematics and 30 question on Computers (note that my module was 12+2 non-medical with Computer this pattern vary for different modules) the total number of the question was 100 (multi-choice question) and there were no negative marking. My score in CUCET was 73 therefore I got scholarship 40% scholarship on tuition fees.

After the result was declared, I got a call for further processes such as document verification and all the other formalities, During this entire process I pay 1000/- for CUCET and 5000/- for seat allocation and that’s it I got admission in CU.

Eligibility criteria and Documents required

The eligibility criteria may vary depending upon the program and in my program, you must have scored at least 60% in your intermediate/10+2, and your CUCET must be more than 30 marks to be eligible for admission here is the list of required documents for admission:

• 10th and 12th mark-sheet
•  Domicile Certificate
• Migration and Transfer Certificate
• Character Certificate
• 5-8 Passport size photograph
• And any identity proof

After the seat is allocated you need to report to the campus for document verification and pay the remaining semester fees.

My admission journey was easy and tension-free, admission process was online so there was no need to go to campus every day just to get admission I got admission from my home itself and this is the best thing I liked.
