BNY Mellon Interview Experience For SDE Internship

Online Assessment 

On the Hacker Rank website, there was an online coding round conducted. The duration of the was about 2 hours. There were all four coding questions in total (1 easy, 2 medium, and 1 hard level). The problems were on the topic of Trees, graphs, and Array.

Round-1 Technical Interview:

This round consisted of 70 minutes and the interviewer asked me to introduce to him. After a brief introduction and discussion about the projects. Then the interviewer asked about the OOPs concept in detail. Then he asked about some DBMS questions.

Coding Questions:

1. Sort a linked list and find the middle node
2. How would you decide if the input number is bigger than 15 would you go to solution A and input number is smaller than 15 would go to solution B?

Round-2 Technical Interview + HR: ( Online Interview)

After some basic introduction, the interviewer directly dives into the coding questions which were related to queue. Next in the HR round, the interviewer asked the mentioned questions.

HR Questions:

1. Tell me about yourself and walk me through your resume.
2. Why do you want to work at BNY Mellon?
3. How much you have used Excel and what have you done in Excel?
4. What are your future expectations while working at BNY Mellon?

Verdict: I got selected and got the internship offer.
