I have been interviewed for a web developer intern role recently at BanoGeniuss an edtech Startup.

The first, step in that process was an exam, which included some basic questions regarding Frontend development. Based on that exam, the shortlisted students will be moving further for the interview round. Then, there was a technical interview in which I was asked about my technical skills. After that, they asked me some basic questions related to HTML, CSS, JS, and Bootstrap.

Afterward, I was asked if I could work without a mentor or not.

I answered like Yes I can work without a mentor with scheduling my tasks and prioritizing the jobs accordingly and I can make a progress report of mine so that it will be easier for me to backtrack the project’s progress.

Another question was why you want to work with us.
Answer: I have multiple works to do but I am interested in working with you because I want to learn REACT along with the project which will be the best part of this internship for me.

The most impactful part of the interview:

At last, they asked me if I had any questions for them, so I asked them what exactly they were expecting about the mentorship question.

So that was the main point where they were attracted and were willing to work with me. They told me that we had taken an interview with a year-experienced web developer and when he was asked the same question, he was not so confident and hesitated to work alone across the project. The only thing they were searching for was someone with a good grip on skills and confidence who could work alone and work under pressure to learn new things.
