Synopsis: However in the new rule, Apple is taking away all the chance from the customers and is forcing them to use the application on the prices they provide, thus taking away all the choices of canceling the subscription.

For a long time, Apple has become a subject of litigation and debate and now it is again on the verge of facing another issue. The company is going to test a new technology, which will be allowing the developers to automatically charge high fees for all the users in order for doing the in-app purchase (IAP) subscription

Currently, Apple has already clarified to their users that they will have to pay higher charges for all the subscriptions they want to opt for. Also, while subscribing to any application if the user does not click on “Agree to New Price” a pop which comes while downloading any app, they will not be able to avail of the same and the subscription gets canceled.

However, in the new rule, Apple is taking away all the chance from the customers and is forcing them to use the application at the prices they provide, thus taking away all the choices of canceling the subscription. Now also, Apple for its subscription pricing changes is testing an opt-out system rather than an opt-in system which can eventually create problems for all iPhone users.

Although this policy of Apple is under debate, should Apple ask their users to pay for the subscription of the apps on the app store, third party developers, or the government whether the store is doing a monopoly or not? Also, this new change of users being charged higher for the subscription of applications by the programming may create a hassle for the company.

The company recently increased the price of the Disney+ subscription to $7.99 per month, and regarding this Max Seelemann, a developer announced on Twitter that “simple notice rather than needing to confirm”. Aside from him, several other customers have reported similar concerns. Apple’s official developer documentation says this is not how App Store subscriptions must function. Customers must manually agree to change rates using the price agreement sheet that appears in the developer’s app.

Although, there is no issue with the prices being increased the real problem lies that Apple is not giving chances to its users for canceling their membership.

Meanwhile, this superfast rollout of price changes will make users more conscious about the subscriptions they are taking as it will help them to choose the opt-out system within time. Though this shift in prices has not been noticed by many due to its incomplete implementation hence people have not created any hassle.
