ZS Associates Interview Experience for BTSA

ZS Associate came to our college with two roles BTSA(Bussiness Technology Solutions Associate) and DAA(Decision analytics associate). For BTSA only CS, IT, and ECE were allowed for DAA all branches were allowed, Backlogs were allowed and above 70% in 10th, 12th, and college.

Round 1 (Online Assessment)

We had to apply at superset for a particular opening of ZS Associate as the whole process was conducted on superset, After registration we received a mail about online assessment which was being conducted on the mettle platform.

  • It had six sections Logical Ability, Analytical Ability, Unstructured Problem Solving, Numerical Ability, Critical Thinking, and Verbal Ability.
  • In logical ability questions were related to counting figures, characters in strings, and matching strings, overall easy we have to solve 25 questions in 5 minutes so be quick.
  • In Analytical Ability basic Direction questions, blood relations, finding a position, and other reasoning topics overall easy 8 questions in 15 minutes.
  • Unstructured Problem solving is a case study where you are given a passage that contains data and you have to answer question-related about it, There were 2 case studies and 15 minutes were given. level – hard
  • Numerical Ability is basic mathematics permutations and combinations, probability, Functions, Series, Profit and loss, Work time overall medium level 8 questions 15 minutes.
  • Critical Thinking and Verbal Ability consisted of English questions finding errors, the correct sequence of sentences, filling in correct verbs, and finding antonyms and synonyms overall easy just be quick.
  • Out of 300 students, 240 were selected for the next assessment.

Level: Medium

Round 2 (Verbal Assessment)

This round was also conducted on mettle and it was purely focused on speaking proficiency.

There were 4 sections

  • In the first section, we have to read the sentences shown and record them all the questions are timed so be quick.
  • In the second section, we have to listen to audio clips and then speak them and record them, listening carefully.
  • In the third section, we are given a topic and we have to think about it for 1 min and then speak on a topic for 1 minute.
  • In the fourth section, we have to listen to conversations and then answer questions related to it.

Overall listen carefully and try to write some points on paper.

Around 200 were shortlisted for the next round.

Round 3 (Online Technical Assessment)

There were two separate tests I gave for the BTSA role so I had SQL + coding for the DAA role there were case study

In this round, there were three sections

  • Section 1 Mcqs related to SQL – Query was provided and correct options were given
  • Section 2 Coding Problem – 1 easy to medium problem
  • Section 3 SQL Query – Schema and database were given and we need to write queries for questions given there were 2 questions.

After this round 40 were selected for interview for the BTSA role and 40 for the DAA role.

Round 4 (Interview Round)

  • Introduce yourself(standard prepare well)
  • Have you done any projects? can you explain the project
  • Can you open a whiteboard and explain the architecture of the project?
  • Could you write how you implemented this project on the text editor?
  • Do you know SQL? Can you write a query to find the third-highest salary in the employee database?
  • Do you remember the query you wrote in the Previous assessment? it was related to a case where we were given some condition and we had to query it like if else
  • Can you write a code to check whether a string is palindrome or not?
  • What is your ambition?
  • why should I hire you?
  • What makes you a team player?
  • Do you have any questions for me?

I asked about how was my interview and I had done some research on the company so I asked one more question.

Around 25 people were selected for the BTSA role and I was one of them.
 

Pro tip – Be confident prepare SQL well and try to be thorough with your resume.
