Attention Youtube Content Creators: Start Earning Cash with Only 500 Subscribers

According to the most recent YouTube Partner Programme (YPP) standards, anyone with at least 500 subscribers can now apply for the monetization program as long as they have created at least three public videos in the past 90 days.

According to The Verge, “YouTube has also included a few ways for smaller content creators to earn money, such as paid chat, tipping, channel memberships, and shopping tools”.

The required minimum viewing time has also been cut from 4,000 to 3,000 hours, and the number of Shorts views has dropped from 10 million to 3 million. The less stringent limitations will be implemented first in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea.

This change reflects a significant shift in YouTube’s aim to promote its creator community and opens up new monetization opportunities for ambitious video makers. YouTube believes that this change would allow a wider spectrum of people to pursue their love for making videos while also developing reliable income streams.

Smaller creators now have more options for monetizing their YouTube content, but they must still increase their viewership and meet certain requirements to get compensated for their advertising. The income-sharing requirements won’t change, but creators who have already been approved for the YouTube Partner Programme won’t need to reapply once they meet the new conditions.

Other platforms have to take the same road as youtube one platform TikTok has taken a similar route. The company has decreased the conditions for access to creative monetization options. This month the company said that its Series video paywall feature would only be accessible to creators with more than 10,000 followers. However, those with only 1,000 followers who met the other requirements could also apply to join.

In addition to ad revenue, Youtube monetization have also included various income stream for content creators such as channel memberships, the retail shelf, Super Chat, and YouTube Premium fees. This feature can help creators to diversify their income streams and build long-term companies with the support of these opportunities. As now fewer subscribers are required many small creators can enjoy these features now.

YouTube aspires to build a vibrant community where producers can engage, share knowledge, and contribute to the platform as a whole. Given the increased earning possibilities, producers will be able to improve the quality of their films, experiment with new forms, and engage their viewers in creative dialogue.
