  • \overline{x_{1}}  and \overline{x_{2}}  are the sample means,
  • n1 and n2 are the sample sizes,
  • degree of freedom = n1 + n2 – 2
  • and where sp is calculated as:

s_{p} = \sqrt{\frac{(n_{1}-1)s_{1}^{2}+(n_{2}-1)s_{2}^{2}}{n_{1}+n_{2}-2}}

Paired T-Test

  • Σd is the sum of the differences
  • degree of freedom = n – 1
