This was a virtual interview due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown. It was a pretty smooth experience and was well-managed. I was assigned Panel 5 for the interview. I joined a bit early at the given link and the interview started at the scheduled time.

Date: 17/05/2020 (10:30 AM -11 AM slot)

Profile: 10/12/Grad: 88/80/84, GEM (BTech, CSE, 22 months IT Experience)

CAT Percentile: 97.8

Written Aptitude Test: This was not there since the process was virtual.

Personal Interview: 2 panelists, both male

panelists: Questions about my home place

Answeres but fumbled on a few questions

M1: Traffic management in my city

Answered to my satisfaction

M2: Questions on academics:

How will you increase the efficiency of the supply chain through technology?

Me: Told, should have done better probably

Have you heard about computational analytics? (Don’t remember the question correctly)

What is caching?

Me: Told

Where is cache memory located?

Me: Told

Where is the password which we use to log in to the PC stored?

Me: Told but wasn’t too sure

How will you improve the ‘Digital Divide’?

Me: Told

Do you know WHO’s director-general?

Me: Couldn’t tell.

Who is Tedros Adhanom?

Me: Still couldn’t tell. Was an embarrassing moment considering WHO was all over the news at that time.

Lasted for about 15-20 mins.

Overall, a good experience but should have done better, especially on the last question

Verdict: Waitlisted at 130, which didn’t convert. WL moved till 88
