USSD Full Form: The full form of USSD is Unstructured Supplementary Service Data. It establishes communication between mobile devices and service providers. It generally works without internet connections on most mobile phones. It provides an efficient way of accessing services without requiring Internet connectivity because it uses cellular network connections to transfer messages, allowing users to access various services even without an Internet connection. The length of the USSD message is up to 182 characters, but it depends on implementation or specific requirements assigned by the mobile network operator.

A balance inquiry is a good example to explain how USSD works. If a user wants to check their mobile balance, they should dial *123# and enter it. After entering, options will appear on the screen, such as pressing 1 for data balance and pressing 2 for mobile balance. When the user selects an option. it is sent within the USSD session. Within a moment or depending on the network, the user receives a message containing their current data balance if they selected press 1 or their current account balance if they selected press 2.
