Unschool Interview Experience (On-Campus)

Unschool is an e-learning platform, ranked #3 on LinkedIn’s Top Startups in India 2020 and recently a proud Y Combinator-funded startup, with a community of 150,000 learners and over 100 coaches.

Role-Business Development Associate

Unschool came to our college and conducted their Virtual requirement process as follows:

Pre-placement talk:

The Pre-placement talk was conducted for an hour which one of the employees from unschool explained about un schools work culture, the founders of unschool, the Benefits to freshers joining unschool, and the package they offer.

Group Discussion Round: After the Pre-placement talk, on the same day, the group discussion was conducted and the topics asked were:

1. Work from home vs work from the office.
2. Hard work vs smart work.
3. Advantages and Disadvantages of using Social Media.
4. Should junk food be banned?
5. Impact of covid-19.

From this round, 70 students were selected for the next round out of 600 students.

HR Round-1: On the same day, the hr round-1 was conducted for the selected candidates and the questions that were asked in this round are:

1. Introduce yourself.
2. What do you know about unschool?
3. Tell the difference between Sales and Marketing.
4. What is Sales Pitching?
5. What is Cold Calling?
6. How do you sell a course from unschool to me?

After HR round 1, the results were declared after two days and 50 students were selected for hr round-2 out of 70 students.

4. HR Round 2:

The Questions that were asked in this round were:

1. Introduce yourself.
2. Explain the role you are applying for.
3. Why do you want to switch your career from engineering to sales?
4. What are the methods that you will follow to reach the maximum number of connections?
5. Which online platform will you use to explain the courses of unschool to someone?
6. Tell me about your strengths.
7. Any Questions for me?

After hr round 2, the results were declared the next day and 12 students got selected out of 50 students.
