University in Papua New Guinea Work Experience

I have graduated college and was accepted to work in an Administrative Office at the second biggest University in Papua New Guinea,
Job roles include keeping records on students’ files, attending to over-the-counter queries from students (that was the hardest part of the job since we all are in the same age group and the students are sometimes cheeky), giving out entry tests and selection process just to name a few.
Towards the end of my first day, I realised who was friendly and who wasn’t.
Most of the staff had probably spent almost half of their working career lives in that office. That would explain why they feel threatened by new graduates joining the team.
Piece of advice to new graduates, do not act like you know everything ask if you are unsure and talk when you are asked to, be polite and most importantly have respect for your bosses and do what is required of you without complaints.
