Introduction about my experience

Well, I took my competitive exam in the year 2022, and just after completing my 12th class I still remember the date(for some reason) was 18th July.

The exam was TS EAMCET. Initially, I had not much idea of what to prepare and how to prepare. As I was in interested becoming a software Engineer, with the help of my teachers, sisters and brothers I came to know about the exam.

Exam format

TS EAMCET exam is of 3 hrs duration and the question paper consists of a total of 160 questions comprising of 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry. All questions are of objective type (multiple choice) only and each question carries one mark.

Study hours

Initially, I hardly used to give 6-8 hours daily for preparation. The exam was in July and I came back from the hostel in May end. I had roughly 1 month on my hands for the preparation.

But, in those 6 hours, I used to be serious. I started enjoying my studies again and aimed to clear it. So, increased my hours to around 10.

The Exam day

I was nervous like hell!! I could feel the sweat in my hands while entering the roll number and all on the OMR sheet. I could feel my heartbeats, all thanks to the very tense atmosphere in the examination hall.

But, when I saw the question paper I started feeling confident and started attempting my strong subjects like Chemistry, then moved to Mathematics, and at last to Physics. I didn’t leave a single question because there were no negative marks. I thought the exam was OK and I would pass it.

I even wrote mains before EAMCET, but when the result came I could not find my name in the list of selected candidates for mains. The cut-off was 90 or something and I scored around 70+.

I felt very bad the first time because it was the first-ever exam that I failed!

The Result day

I was very tense on that day because being an engineering aspirant getting a rank is very important because that rank will decide our next four years. I entered the hall ticket number, and my result was 29735 I was upset by that rank.

After a few days, I came out of it, I encouraged myself, and I built my positivity. Even my parents supported me a lot.

After a few months of results, I applied for college. In the first phase, I got a seat in MLRIT college I was again upset because I hoped for a top 10 college, but I didn’t give up I started trying again. In the second phase, I got into the Data Science branch at BV Raju Institute of Technology I was very happy. I also applied for 3rd counselling to get CSE, but I didn’t get a close seat. It’s okay I’m happy with my data science branch. So I finally joined my college.

Lessons learned

Never think that you can achieve something with no or little effort because success demands effort and patience!! Failing for the first time is pretty obvious but you should never fail to put maximum effort into your preparations. Because in the end, it would be the ladder of your failure that will help you climb up to success.
