TCS Work Experience As An Assistant System Engineer

I got my very first job as an Assistant System Engineer in Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) in 2020 during my final year of graduation and soon I received my joining letter. I was very excited to work and meet new people in the office but that dream remained a dream. As 2020 got hit by COVID pandemic. We were instructed to start work from home and in Oct 2020 my journey as a member of TCS began.

My onboarding process was conducted via online video sessions. I got to interact with so many people over there. We were assigned certain courses which have to be completed within a given time frame. It was fun learning new things.

Within a few days, a project was assigned to me, the team leader introduced us to the team members and explained the project also and I was assigned the role of a frontend developer. Each day we used to have a morning standup call where the task of the day was mentioned to every person and the previous day’s status was discussed.

As the day passed I learned Angular, typescript and many more new technologies which came ahead my way. I must say I got the best team, If I got stuck on any task either minute or large they were eager to help me even leaving their task. It never felt like working from home as everyone was cooperative and we used to have fun activities also.

I was so happy working there but this journey of mine ends in Oct 2021 as I plan to prepare for UPSC CSE so I resigned.

I made lifetime friends in this 1 year and developed my skillsets.

I feel so proud to be a part of the ‘TCS Family‘. I wish I could get a chance to again work here.
