Hi, this opportunity was an on-campus hiring.
Initial Shortlisting for Registration:
At first, we received the Mail from T&P that Taxmann & Mindler would hire our batch (2025) and the initial criteria was 60% overall percentage and Branch CSE/IT, and need to have 5 GitHub repos. So, as all conditions satisfied me, I filled out the form and later I was shortlisted for the drive.
Pre-Placement Talks and Hackathon:
After a few weeks, we received info that, they will come to our college on a particular day, and on that day they will shortlist students. So, as per schedule at first, they gave Pre-Placement talks and then they gave one problem statement and approx 2 hours to build that application.
It is not about building completely but about building the prototype and approach they were checking at last. I am an Android guy, so built one Android app based on the problem statement they provided and created a backend using NodeJS. They checked my apps and code and were shortlisted for the next round.
First Technical Interview:
They informed me that the interview procedure would start within 1/2 hours, It was my first OnCampus or first F2F offline interview, and although I was nervous or anything else, I was happy and chill to give the interview, as I was excited to give. Although, it was not my first time interviewing, already had an interview with a few MNCs including one of FAANG company so, I was not as nervous as others.
I was the second candidate to give the interview, and the interview was around my project discussion and the tech stack I us somehow they gave me a DSA qn to code it, I was extremely happy about this because I was waiting for the DSA question to be honest. I coded it, and the interview finally ended.
Later, we were informed that 8 students including me, were shortlisted for the next round.
Second Technical Interview:
The second technical round was after a day, but it was online. They asked me about React as per I guess their requirements, but I am not familiar with React, I expecting DSA/Android/Backend, as that was out of my domain, and I couldn’t answer all the questions correctly. and I was expecting that I would be not shortlisted further.
And that happened, Only 2 students were shortlisted for the next round and I was not there.
Overall it was a nice experience as my first on-campus opportunity.
