Semifront Technologies Private Limited Internship Interview Experience

Hello there, In April, Semifront Technologies visited our college for an On-campus drive for the role of RTL Design Verification Engineer for the intern role. It is a core company but both CSE and ECE students were allowed to apply for the drive.

Shortlisting of candidates was done according to the resumes. I was shortlisted for the first round. Before the first round 2 telephonic rounds were taken for me. 1 call was from the HR and another call came on the following day from a Technical manager in that company.

Both the HR and the Technical Manager we trying to assess my confidence, behavior, and family background just to know more about me. These 2 calls lasted for 20 minutes on average. The technical manager told me that I was shortlisted for the first round and my 1st round was scheduled after 1 week.

First Round:

* After greeting the interviewer he asked to give some introduction about me and after that, he asked me questions on both Digital Electronics and Verilog concepts and he went asking me in-depth concepts that I couldn’t properly answer. The interview lasted for 2 hours.

Some of the questions he asked me:

1. Dff timing diagram and RTL
2. FIFO RTL
3. Frequency Division Concept
4. Setup and Hold time and many more
5. Blocking and Non-Blocking Statements.

PS: These are the only questions I remember.

The interviewer asked me about every block of code why I wrote that and the concept behind it.

Update: Following the next week, I got to know from our TPO cell that I got rejected.
