ScroBits Technologies Interview Experience for Full Stack Developer

Hey, I am a 4th-year Undergrad. I am a Full Stack Developer and I use React.js, Next.js, Material UI, and Tailwind CSS in the frontend part and prefer to use Node.js and REST APIs in the Backend. Apart from this I also like to contribute to the Community side, I am a Postman Student Leader and take Sessions on API development and Testing. I am also the Chapter Lead of the GFG RCOEM Chapter, where we conduct various events on different technologies.

Round 1

It was a basic Round where the Interviewer asked me about my Introduction and he then asked about my community experience and what motivates me to do so.
By the time I was answering, he looked at all my projects from my portfolio website.
We had a small talk about my Journey in Web Development where and how started and how was the transition in short we discussed my two-year journey in Web development.

Project Discussion Round

Then we started discussing two of my projects – College Wit and Employee Management System. We deep-dived into the features and their implementations. Discussed website scaling and SEO stuff also. We also discussed a few low-level designs of the projects I have made and the Software Development Life Cycle.

Live Coding Round

I was given a live coding problem of 8 piano tiles and whenever a tile is clicked it should expand vertically like a tile toggling problem. The task was to make the UI and I made the UI in 15 mins after that Interviewer told me to use map() and useState() and optimize the code and apply toggling logic. As we were getting out of time so he told me to do so and submit the repo via email.

I was able to complete the task and sent him the task.

Conclusion

It was overall a good interview experience although I was not selected but still it enriched my interview experience and helped me speak up about my projects with an interviewer.

I was not selected for the Internship role but still, it was a good experience for me.
