QuickSell Interview Experience for Android Developer

I’m a Master of Engineering student at BITS Pilani,
I recently had the privilege of interviewing with QuickSell Inc. for an Android Developer. The company’s prompt response to my resume,
The interview took place the day after I received the shortlisting confirmation. The interviewer was humble and made me feel at ease right from the start. The interview began with a customary introduction, the conversation seamlessly transitioned into the technical aspects of Android development,
The question he asked:
- Project Discussion: The interviewer initiated by asking about a project from my portfolio. About Firebase implementations and all.
- what is Splash Screen?
- Activity Lifecycle: I confidently explained the intricacies of the Android Activity lifecycle,
- Service Implementation: The interviewer inquired whether I had implemented a service in any of my projects
- Service Lifecycle: I discussed the lifecycle of an Android service.
- Launch Types: I elucidated the various launch types in Android applications and how they affect the behavior of activities.
- LiveData: I explained LiveData as a data holder class, which enables the observation of data changes and facilitates smooth interaction between app components.
- Manifest File: I described the significance of the AndroidManifest.xml file.
- Gradle’s Role (App Level)
- Components Depth Questions: The interviewer probed further into my understanding of activity, fragment, and service components, encouraging me to showcase my proficiency in these fundamental Android constructs.
- What are Fragments?
- Describe the Unit Tests
- gRPC Project: The interview culminated with an inquiry about the gRPC project mentioned on my CV. I shared insights into the project’s nature and my contributions, demonstrating my ability to engage in sophisticated technical undertakings.
I answered most of the questions correctly but did not call for the next round.
