The Imagick::uniqueImageColors() function is an inbuilt function in PHP which is used to discards all but one of any pixel color. This function is available in version 6.2.9 or newer.


bool Imagick::uniqueImageColors( void )

Parameters: This function does not accepts any parameters.

Return Value: This function returns True on success.

Below program illustrates the Imagick::uniqueImageColors() function in PHP:


// Create an Imagick object
$imagick = new Imagick(
// Reduce the image to 256 colours nicely.
$imagick->quantizeImage(256, \Imagick::COLORSPACE_YIQ, 0, false, false);
// Use uniqueImageColors function to distinguish the color of image
// Scale the output image
$imagick->scaleimage($imagick->getImageWidth() * 10, 
              $imagick->getImageHeight() * 50);
header("Content-Type: image/png");
// Display the output image
echo $imagick->getImageBlob();
