Two months ago, I embarked on a thrilling adventure by taking the assessment for Persistent Systems. Despite juggling end-semester exams at the time, my passion for the company spurred me to participate.

The assessment itself proved manageable, featuring sections on aptitude, reasoning ability, and a coding segment. Within the coding round, I encountered two challenging programming questions, both revolving around string formatting. While I successfully cracked one question, the other posed a tougher challenge, with only two test cases passing muster.

Two weeks later, I received the eagerly anticipated email summoning me for the technical round—an exhilarating moment indeed! The initial technical round centred solely on my resume, with the interviewer delving into each aspect with keen interest. Impressed by my initial responses, the interviewer led me through a series of coding questions and SQL queries, probing my proficiency in programming languages, data structures, and database management. My expertise in MySQL and Python, cultivated through certifications from esteemed institutions like IITs and NPTEL, undoubtedly served as a valuable asset during this stage.

Upon the declaration of results, I learned of my progression to the second technical round—a challenging yet rewarding experience. Here, the questions escalated in complexity, focusing on dissecting my final year project. My key advice to fellow aspirants is to exude confidence and honesty throughout the process. Even if stumped, transparency and a willingness to learn go a long way.

Subsequently, I navigated the HR round, arguably the most straightforward leg of the journey. Standard questions about personal background, strengths, weaknesses, and hobbies filled the atmosphere. Preparation and sincerity are key to achieving this phase.

Finally, a week later, the much-awaited offer letter from Persistent Systems arrived, marking the culmination of an incredible journey. To all embarking on similar endeavours, I extend my best wishes. Embrace the challenges, stay authentic, and let your journey with Persistent Systems be as enriching as mine.
