Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. (OFSS) Interview Experience for Project Intern 2023

I had the opportunity to interview for the Project Intern position at Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. (OFSS). I wanted to share my experience to help others in the community who may be preparing for similar interviews.

Round 1: Online Assessment (HackerRank)

The first round consisted of an online assessment conducted on the HackerRank platform. It included 3 questions:

• A GeeksForGeeks-style question involving string manipulation and map data structure (Medium difficulty).
• Another GeeksForGeeks-style question focused on string manipulation (Medium-Hard difficulty).
• An SQL query task requiring the use of joins (Medium difficulty).

Round 2: Online Interview (40 minutes)

During this round, which lasted for 40 minutes, the interviewer covered several topics:

• Discussion of my previous projects.
• Comparison between SQL and NoSQL databases, including when to use each.
• Understanding ACID and CRUD operations in a database.
• Explanation of joins in Database Management Systems (DBMS) and writing a query for a left join.
• Differentiating between a left join and a left outer join.
• Fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs).

Round 3: Online Interview (45 minutes)

In the final round, lasting 45 minutes, the interviewer focused on:

• Further discussion of my projects.
• More advanced SQL queries.
• Implementation of an Online Ticket Booking System using OOPs fundamentals.
• Behavioural interview questions to assess my fit for the role.

Final Verdict: Got Selected
