Optym Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2022

Around September, Optym visited our campus for multiple roles. The drive was only conducted for only MTech CS. The process was carried forward in two stages – A written test, Technical Interview. The entire process was conducted virtually.

Round 1: Written Test: The test was conducted on the online platform and consisted of Aptitude questions, logical reasoning, and verbal questions which were of easy difficulty.

• Next was the technical section which consisted of CS-related MCQs(Computer Networks, DBMS, OS, DSA).
• And the coding section consisted of two coding questions.
• One of the easy questions from sorting and the other is medium to hard level from graphs.
• And the last section has SQL query question which was of easy difficulty.
• Able to solve all MCQs, 1 SQL query, and 1 question of coding.Got shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2: Technical Interview: Most of the interview was regarding my projects.

• The interview asked about the real-time uses and critical cases and how I solved those in my project.
• Also asked about my college subjects and questions regarding the same.
• Finally, he asked me to code the median of the data stream problem while explaining the same.
• The very next day the results were announced and I was selected.

Tips:

• Be confident. Even if you don’t know the answer, tell confidently that you don’t know. Don’t waste their time.
• Explain your technical projects very well.
